Google has enhanced its widely-used Google Analytics platform by introducing two additional metrics designed to measure user conversions.
The new metrics, “User Key Event Rate” and “Session Key Event Rate,” will now be visible by default in the User Acquisition and Traffic Acquisition reports.
User Key Event Rate:
According to Google’s documentation, the “User Key Event Rate” metric determines the percentage of users who engage in a predefined key event, such as making a purchase or completing a sign-up process. This metric is derived by dividing the number of users who performed the specified action by the total number of users.
Session Key Event Rate:
The “Session Key Event Rate” metric evaluates the percentage of sessions that lead to a key event conversion. It is calculated by dividing the number of key events by the total number of sessions.
Automatically Calculated:
These metrics are automatically generated and appear in the User Acquisition and Traffic Acquisition reports without requiring manual setup.
Availability:
For existing Google Analytics users who have integrated the User Acquisition and Traffic Acquisition reports into their navigation, the new metrics will automatically appear in their dashboards.
With a more detailed insight into user engagement and conversion rates, businesses are empowered to make more informed decisions regarding their marketing strategies.
Incorporating these user conversion metrics into Google Analytics reports can provide several benefits to businesses:
