Google is currently investigating the reported issues and actively working on resolving them. The problems appear to have emerged around 1:15 pm ET, and Google officially acknowledged the issue at 2:35 pm ET.
Ginny Marvin from Google has also confirmed the issue via a post on X, stating, “We are looking into reports of a problem with Google Ads and will share more details soon. Users experiencing this issue are unable to access Google Ads. For updates, please refer to the dashboard.”
Google has provided the following message on the dashboard:
“We are currently investigating reports of an issue affecting Google Ads. Further information will be provided shortly. Users impacted by this problem may encounter difficulties accessing Google Ads.”
The issue is also affecting Search Ads 360.
Some progress has been made in resolving the problem. At 3:50 pm ET, Google successfully restored the Google Ads console. Ginny Marvin provided an update, stating, “Update: Google Ads service has already been restored for some users, and we anticipate a resolution for all users in the near future. Please note that this time frame is an estimate and may be subject to change. Those affected are currently unable to access Google Ads.”
I can personally confirm that I can access the Google Ads console without any delays.
The issue has been completely resolved. Google announced at 7 pm ET, “The problem with Google Ads has been resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and continued support.”
Why this matters: If you are attempting to make changes to your Google Ads accounts, you may be temporarily locked out. Google is actively working on a solution, but there is no specific time frame for when the fix will be implemented. It might be a good idea to take a break for a while and check back later for updates.
